To the family of Antonio, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Antonio personally, but I just wanted to let you all know you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I have lost loved ones in death close to me, but I cannot imagine losing someone so young. When we do lose a loved one, it's only natural that we still want to see them, talk to them and embrace them. You may recall that when Jesus was on earth, he performed many different miracles. One in particular is that he resurrected people back to life on earth, even young ones (Luke 8:49-55). Jesus didn't do these things to show how powerful he was, but rather, it was to show people what he would do on a grand scale in the future. Isaiah 26:19 promises, "Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust!...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." I truly look forward to this time, where "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away" (Revelation 21:4). May this promise from God comfort you during this difficult time, and may you rely on Him in prayer, for He is "close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit."--Psalm 34:18

Antonio was an outstanding young man. I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have known him and I know I will never forget him.
During this difficult time I am finding consolation in the scripture, Proverbs 10:12 Hatred is what stirs up contentions, but love covers over even all transgressions, and John 3:16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. I pray that in some way these scriptures will also ease the pain of family and friends of Antonio, during this very emotional time. My heart is broken, but not my spirit, for peace among our young future leaders. Rest in peace, Antonio.
