With hearts filled with both sorrow and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the transition of Bessie Lee Kilpatrick, who entered eternal rest with the Lord during the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 18, 2026, while in the care of CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, North Carolina.
Bessie was born on September 6, 1954, in Craven County, North Carolina, to the late Louis P. Kilpatrick and Clara Cox Kilpatrick.
She dedicated 41 faithful years of service to CarolinaEast Medical Center, where her commitment, kindness, and work ethic left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She was also a devoted and faithful member of UPHC Rocky Run, where her presence and spirit will be deeply missed.
The service celebrating her life, enduring legacy, and devoted service to mankind will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the sanctuary of the Undenominational Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rocky Run, 5325 U.S. Highway 17 South, New Bern, North Carolina.
She will be laid to rest in the Westview Cemetery, Kinston.
A public viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
At this time, the family respectfully requests that no visitors be received at the home. The family will assemble at 11:15 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the residence in preparation of the funeral procession.
