Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mrs. Hattie Chadwick Spruill, 70, of Kinston, formerly of Cove City died on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Signature Health Care, Kinston, NC
She was born September 20, 1953, in Craven County to the late Reverend Linwood Chadwick Sr. and Luvina Smith Chadwick.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Ralfiel Worthem (Deirdre) of Atlanta, GA; Terrell Worthem-Spruill (Keith) and Rondell Worthem; devoted niece that was like a daughter, Deliria Ann Walters, (Michael) of Kinston, NC; four grandchildren, Ralfiel Jr., Elijah, Hannah and DeJuan; one brother, Reverend Linwood “Monnie” Chadwick (Essie) of Winterville, NC; Minister Carolyn “Little Sissy” Jerkins of Kinston, NC; nieces, and nephews, Calvin Chadwick, Kelvin Chadwick (Kristan), Sharon Spencer, Tomeka Jerkins, Kimberly Chadwick, Joel Brown (Nicole) and Brandon Spruill; two sisters-in-law, Nedra S. Jones of Washington, DC and Myra A. Spruill Kinston, NC; one special Goddaughter, KeKe Jones and a host of great nieces, nephews, God children, relatives and friends.
The service celebrating her life and legacy will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2024, from the sanctuary of the Bryant Chapel AME Zion Church.
Burial will follow in the Bryant Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Spruill will lie in state for public viewing from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2024, at the funeral home and will resume one hour prior to the service at the Church.
