God is the keeper of our mind and soul, and even in times of grief and sorrow, His love and strength can make us whole.
With reverence and deep respect, we invite you to unite with us in prayer as we honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Herman Jones, 94, of Kinston, a man of great pride, strength, and enduring legacy, who transitioned from labor to eternal rest on April 18, 2026, at his residence.
Herman was born March 15, 1932 in Jones County to the late Walter and Ada Jones.
He leaves to cherish his legacy his devoted wife, Susie Jones of the home; one daughter, Felicia Stokes; two sisters, Esther Smith and Dorothy Kinsey; two brothers, Lester Perry and Walter Perry; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
A service celebrating his remarkable life and legacy will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the sanctuary of Jumping Run Church, Inc., 4308 Jumping Run Church Road, La Grange, North Carolina.
Following the service, Mr. Jones will be laid to rest in Mills Memorial Gardens.
